nature girl.
Someday, I really will stop taking endless online tests and write a real entry again. No, I do write real entries...really, I do. I do!

But I had to post this. Because it's just too ridiculous.

What's Your Style? Find out @ She's Crafty

"You're a true nature chick who loves the outdoors. Because you're always running from activity to activity, you have zero time for a full, fussy face of makeup. Instead, you want to be able to hop out of the shower, pull your hair into a ponytail, slap on some sunscreen, and go. Just make sure that your laid-back, all-things-natural attitude doesn't lead to you become lazy -even on-the-go girls need to glam themselves up sometimes!"

I want you to look at the girl in the above picture (who for the record resembles me about as much as I resemble a duck and I don't *think* I resemble a duck). Give her a good once over. She's pretty. She is. She's beautiful even. Perhaps. But - let me ask you this - is she wearing simply sunscreen, does she look like she has no time for makeup? She does have a very subtle, glowing sort of perfect look. But if that's *natural* I come from a different planet. I mean, look at her. She's been made-up for hours in a wardrobe car somewhere, she's been put through the best filters, possibly even airbrushed and "fixed-up" because god forbid seventeen year old girls aspire to look like seventeen year old girls.

Besides, my "type" you stupid test (which I took solely so I could make this rant) has nothing to do with being active and natural. It has to do with an ingrained terror of not blending into the walls. And that terror is fed by, hmm, ads telling me that natural and perfect are synonyms, perhaps?

I'm not really upset by this...it's just another example of how desperately we're in need of anarchists.
